Sound, made visible.

Two ways to see sound, built for HMI Horizon 2025, a Chladni plate where sound draws its own pattern in sand, and a laser harp where you play the pattern in the air yourself.

Behind the exhibit.

“It was really a great experience, I loved playing with it. As a total music newbie, I was guided by Govardanan and Rakshit to play "Happy Birthday" solo in no time. Not only did they make it easier to understand how these instruments work, but they also made the whole process feel intuitive and joyful. It being very beginner friendly for people like me is what stood out most. I always felt traditional instruments need too much coordination to play — pressing buttons or keys to trigger sounds — but this was so much easier to grasp and repeat.”
